The TSVM Hawks are on the roll this season in Verbandsliga 2024. They registered their 3rd consecutive win on Sunday, 28 April at Malmsheim Cricket ground. “There were various star performances in bowling, fielding and batting”, said Sai Krishna, captain of the Hawks.
Hawks vs CLS
In their third match of the season, the Hawks hosted CLS for their inaugural home game. CLS won the toss and elected to bat first, setting the stage for the encounter. However, The Hawks’ bowlers had other plans as they put on a splendid display, restricting CLS to a modest total of 136 runs in 37.0 Overs. Spearheaded by Kishore’s brilliant bowling, who scalped four crucial wickets, the Hawks’ bowling attack was well-supported by Sunil and Binesh, who picked up two wickets each. Other bowlers contributed with disciplined spells, maintaining good economy rates to keep the pressure on the opposition batsmen throughout the inning.
Chasing a target of 137 runs for victory, the Hawks came out with intent and determination. Parth and Binesh provided a solid foundation with an excellent opening partnership, setting the stage for a successful chase. Despite the loss of a few wickets, the Hawks remained in control, thanks to the steady contributions from the middle order. Captain Sai led from the front, guiding the team with a composed innings of 25 runs off 12 Balls, ensuring the Hawks cruised to victory in just 16.2 overs, with 7 wickets in hand, sealing a convincing win in their first home match of the season.
