Season Opening 2024

We are delighted to announce the season opening for TSVM Sharks and Hawks for 2024. Both teams played their season opener on 14 April 2024 and emerged victorious.

Sharks vs FNCC

Sharks started with a bang in the first game of the season against Freiburg Nomads CC. Winning the toss, Sharks elected to bat first. Having been jolted with two quick wickets, Ashin and Chinmay steadied the ship with 63 and 143, respectively. Good partnerships between Ashin and Chinmay and Harish (31) took sharks to a good total 291.
Bowling pair started off with excellent discipline along with a decent pace. Some good pieces of catching from Varun and the opening spell from the bowlers (Virat & Harsha) left Freiburg at 14-5. Lower order cameos from the batters ensured that some partnerships were built, which took them to an ending score of 116. Lots of confidence can be taken from the first game, and the Sharks hope to continue the momentum moving forward.

Hawks vs SVP Blitz

In the inaugural clash of the season between TSVM Hawks and Pattonville, the Hawks stamped their authority with a commanding performance on all fronts. Anil and Hemanth led the charge with a mesmerizing display of bowling mastery, with Anil’s exceptional five-wicket haul being the highlight. Their relentless attack restricted Pattonville to a modest total of 128 runs. Despite an early setback with the loss of the first wicket, Akhil and Sunny’s composed partnership steadied the ship, keeping the chase on track. As the pressure mounted, Kichu and Sai held their nerve, guiding the Hawks across the finish line with precision and determination.

Moreover, the Hawks’ fielders were instrumental in maintaining the pressure with their sharp catching and agile movements, adding to the opposition’s woes. This comprehensive victory not only showcased the Hawks’ dominance but also laid a solid foundation for a successful season ahead.

Great Season Ahead

Chandramohan, Head of TSVM Cricket is very delighted with the performance of the Sharks and Hawks. He hopes that both keep the momentum in their respective tournaments.
