The TSVM Cricket has been at the forefront of the rise of cricket in the Stuttgart region. It has two senior and one junior team, namely, Sharks, Hawks and Kinghts. They participate in BWCV Regionalliga, Verbandsliga and Junior League. To take the cricket to next level and increase the fan base of cricket in Stuttgart, TSVM Cricket has launched Stuttgart Premier League. The first season will be played on 16th and 23rd June at Malsmheim Cricket Ground.
Stuttgart Premier League Season 1
The first season of the Stuttgart Premier League will start on Sunday, 16th June. It has created a flutter in the Stuttgart cricketing circle. The league aims to target cricket players from all age groups and cricketing skill levels. It is as competitive as the professional cricket leagues (Verbandsliga, Regionalliga) in Baden-Württemberg and at the same time inclusive and fun for semi and non-professional players.
The first season will see 14 teams fighting for the ultimate trophy in Stuttgart. All matches will be played outside and will include 11 players in each team. An inning will be of 8 overs. A hard tennis ball will be used in the league. The Malmsheim Cricket ground is equipped with lights which means we will see some night matches too.
