The TSVM Hawks secured a match needed win against the HNCC in a low scoring match in the BWCV Verbandsliga match on 9th May 2024. The Hawks won the match by 63 runs.
Hawks vs Heilbronn
On a sunny day, the TSVM Hawks played against the Heilbronn NCC 2 teams. The Hawks chose to bat first after winning the toss. They started off with a bit of trouble, losing important wickets early on, which put pressure on them. However, Binesh and Ashin managed to steady things with some good batting, building a solid partnership and scoring runs. But when Binesh got out in the 6th over and Ashin in the 8th, things slowed down a bit. By the 15th over, they had reached around 95 runs, but then they started losing wickets again. By the 23rd over, they had scored 117 runs but had lost 6 wickets. Captain Sai played patiently and helped the team add more runs with the lower-order batsmen. They finished their innings with a total of 192 runs in 41.4 overs.
In the second innings, the pressure was on the Hawks’ bowlers to defend the score. Binesh started well, taking two wickets in the first over and boosting the team’s confidence. The Hawks’ fielding was excellent, taking every chance to put pressure on the batting side. The opposition struggled against the Hawks’ bowling attack and kept losing wickets regularly. The spinners did a great job, taking the last five wickets. The opponents were all out for just 129 runs in 28.2 overs. With this strong performance, the Hawks won the match by 63 runs.
